1 | I have never bought a pork share before, where do I start?

3 | 2024 Pricing

Whole hogs: $4.50/# hanging weight + processing ​​fee.

The average estimated hanging weight is usually between 174-230lbs the estimated price is between $783.00 and $1035.00 plus processing fee's.

Half hogs: $ 4.50/# hanging weight + processing fee.

The average estimated hanging weight is usually between 87-115lbs the estimated price is between $391.00 and $517.00 plus processing fee's.  

4 | How do I reserve a pork share?

The link below will connect you to our available pork shares where you can reserve your whole or half hog. The Crow's Croft requires a $150 non refundable deposit for our half hog shares and a $300 non refundable deposit for whole hog shares. This deposit secures your purchase and will be applied as a credit to the total balance. 

5 | When will my pork be ready?

We have a number of processing dates though-out the year and will work with you to find one that best fits your timeline. Generally your pork will be ready about two to three weeks after the intake date depending on processing.​

6 | Do you offer delivery.

Yes, if you are not able to transport your share please let us know and we can make arrangements for delivery.

7 | How much freezer space will I need?

For a half hog, you’ll need about 4-5 cubic feet. Another way to picture this is 2 large fabric grocery totes packed full and overflowing just a bit. For a whole hog, you’ll need about 8-10 cubic feet. Another way to picture this is 4 large fabric grocery totes packed full and overflowing just a bit. For comparison, the empty freezer compartment of a new, average-size, home refrigerator is about 4.8 cubic ft.

8 | Do I have to buy a pork share, can I just buy small packages?

  Yes!!! We want you to be able to enjoy our pork. We have packages available for sale at Schoolhouse produce in Redmond, Oregon and are at the Bend Farmers Market Every Wednesday 11- 3pm from May to October.

9 | How do I order my cuts?

When it's time to order cuts, we'll send you an email with the processors cut form, at that time you can give it to us or wait for the processor to call you for your cut information.

10| Do your pigs receive hormones or antibiotics?

We never use sub-therapeutic antibiotics, hormones, growth promoters like ractopamine or unnecessary drugs. 

We focus on preventative medicine and a low stress, healthy environment. When a pig does become ill, we treat our pigs like we treat ourselves: natural remedies whenever possible, antibiotics when that's the best tool in the toolbox. We use conventional medicine under the guidance of our local veterinarian.
